We are proud to announce that Sacramento won the Quarterly Creation Contest for the first quarter of 2016.
The Memory Care residents in Sacramento created a beautiful interpretation of Claude Monet’s Water Lilies. The residents helped create tissue paper flowers, leaves made of paper, and water made from cellophane. The final masterpiece was placed on the window in the dining room where the sun could shine through the project and give the dining room a calming blue glow.
Sacramento themed their candle light dinner around the resident’s masterpiece. Families walked into an art gallery of photos, desserts served on a paint pallet, staff wearing painted aprons, paint brush centerpieces, and the grand finally of the night was the unveiling of the residents masterpiece. See the attached pictures!
A big thank you to Marybel and the Carlton Memory Care staff for assisting the residents to create a dignified piece of art that shows off the residents creativity and imagination!
Thank you to all Memory Care communities who participated. Each of you did an incredible job of elevating our standard of arts and crafts in Memory Care. I look forward to next Quarters contest!
